Fixing WooCommerce Variations - Getting Rid of Out-of-Stock

So, I ran into this annoying problem with WooCommerce. We’ve got products with a bunch of options—like at least four things, say color, size, whatever else—and each one has maybe 2 to 10 choices. When you mix all that up and hit "generate variations," it spits out like 500+ products. Crazy, right?

But here’s the issue: a ton of those don’t even exist in the client’s stock. And guess what? Customers keep picking them anyway. Super frustrating for them and a headache for us.

I started looking for a way to fix it. Like, how do we stop showing stuff that’s not there? What I wanted was this: if someone picks "Red" for the color, the other options—like size or whatever—should only show what’s actually available. No more picking ghost products.

Then I found this plugin called Variation Swatches for WooCommerce (here’s the link if you’re curious: https://en-au.wordpress.org/plugins/woo-variation-swatches/). It’s pretty cool. Turns those boring dropdowns into little swatches—like clickable boxes for colors or sizes—and it filters everything on the fly. Pick "Red," and boom, the next options shrink down to what’s in stock.

It’s been a game-changer. Less confused customers, fewer messed-up orders. If you’re dealing with this kind of mess too, maybe give it a try. Worked for me!
